Church Drama Club
Drama is another ministry within the church. Acting out parts of the bible
help us to better understand the meaning behind the words. Plays can be
written varying on the intended audience. Incorporating drama into services
is a great way to enhance the sermon message. Christian plays can also be
a way of sharing bible stories with others in the community. Not just at
Christmas and Easter time, but also within schools and local youth centers.
Many people better hear the message God is trying to send when they see it
in action. Some people find the Bible hard to read and associate with
modern times. Skits/Sketches/Plays can really bring teachings into
a livable practice.
What you need!
- A group of willing volunteers
- A book of skits/sketches or plays (write your own perhaps)
- A time and place to practice
- A supportive audience
What could make your club even better!
- Stage
- Lighting
- Props
- Costumes
- Trained dramatic or theater director (ask around!)
